Frequently Asked Quesions

How long is a session?

Each session varies by dog. However, most sessions typically last between 45 minutes to an hour. It’s important to know that for the first few sessions, not all of that time may be spent massaging, but also getting to know your dog and reviewing the health intake form.

What are the benefits of Canine Massage?

Massage can alleviate muscle tension, soreness, and discomfort, providing relief from various musculoskeletal issues such as arthritis or injury. It stimulates blood flow and lymphatic circulation, which enhances oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues while aiding in the removal of metabolic waste products. Massage also promotes tissue healing and regeneration by increasing local circulation and reducing inflammation, which can accelerate recovery from injuries or surgeries. By stimulating the lymphatic system, massage supports immune function, helping the body fight off infections and illnesses more effectively. Regular massage can improve joint flexibility and range of motion, promoting better mobility and preventing stiffness.

Do you charge a travel fee?

Typically, no. I set my rates to include the cost of my local travel. However, if I am traveling outside of Snohomish, King, Skagit, or Whatcom Counties, there may be a travel fee applied.

What if my dog is shy?

If you have a dog who is a bit shy or takes some time to warm up to strangers, I often can meet outside of your home for a quick introduction so when I enter your home for the massage session, your dog has a little bit more comfort in knowing who I am. Of course, all dogs are different, so its important to work at your dogs pace. I will never push your dog to do something they aren’t comfortable with. Sometimes that means that a massage session turns into a meet and greet session, and that’s okay!
